Our friend from Germany visited her home country this summer.
She had a portrait/sign painted of the pinzgauers in Austria with our farm name on it.
It is now displayed on our Office Building with great appreciation.

In 2012 we sold a bull to a wonderful couple for cross breeding. The lady is from Germany & now resides in the U.S. Having lived in Germany most of her past life, she is well informed of the original full blood pinzgauer. They have become great friends & visit us each year. During one of their visits she asked if we'd do her a favor & the next 2 heifers we were willing to sell, would we NOT remove the horns. She would then purchase them.
This is how she grew up seeing the original Full Blood  Pinzgauer.

In 2009 on a Sunday afternoon we receive a call from 2 unique individuals stating they had seen our web-site. They asked if they could visit our farm.  At the time they had a few cross-bred heifers. After several visits & round table discussions about Pinzgauers we became good friends with Ken & Paul with a business attitude. They soon became Belle Plaine Pinzgauers.  During each visit they had a tendency to pick out another one of our best Pinzgauers. After purchasing semen (from several different bulls) from us, they decided they would also like a herd bull. That bull was PPB Flipper, who they also collected & now sell semen. In 2011, with their herd growing & their love for Pinzgauers, they decided to purchase another farm & bring out the dual purpose milk supply in the Pinzgauer. At the time they did not have enough Pinzgauers to supply enough milk to make it necessary for the milkman to stop. They then purchased several dairy cows to make this happen. Presently they will have 17 more Pinzgauers that will be calving in 2015 joining the milk herd.

All cattle have access to food all day. Pinzgauers tend to give 70 lbs./day for 5 months. They bring the butterfat test to 4.4 percent when combined with the dairy cattle.
