During the past 20 years while promoting the 100% Austrian Fullblood Pinzgauer, we realized the need for cross breeding with new & existing beef breeders. Breeding with Pinzgauers brings out the best of both breeds. Hybrid vigor, personality, disposition & the meat gene are just some of the inherited benefits of crossing. Because of the small gene pool we purchased semen from some of the "original" Pinzgauer breeders in the U.S. & Canada. Through select breeding & careful feeding techniques we have developed some awesome female blood lines. With these bloodlines we have produced 11 Austrian full blood bulls that can be seen on our "Semen For Sale" page. We currently have sold over 70 young bulls as breeding stock with over 90% being used for cross breeding. The customer presently may only have a couple full blood Pinzgauers or percentages & uses the bull for his whole herd. The following pictures are of herds & results where some of our bulls have been sold.
In 2020 PPB Competition semen was purchased from us to be used on heifers. The following 4 calves were born in Spring 2021. In an e-mail we received the owner stated: "The calves are excellent! They have out grown their Charolais & Angus peers. They are big boned and have high vigor. They handle the cold like it is nothing." As a result, he is interested in purchasing more Pinzgauer semen.
The following 4 calves will be FOR SALE when weaned. They are located in Colorado.
#6 - Black Angus/Simmental Pinzgauer heifer cross (birth weight approx. 83 lbs)

In 2012 "PPB Gunner" was born. Dam: PPB Graci Sire: Converter
This photo is "Gunner's" first calf as a result of cross-breeding. The breeder who purchased him has since purchased a total of 5 additional Austrian Full-Blood Pinzgauers from us to join his cross bred herd.
In 2012 we received a call from a very interesting individual from Nebraska. He stated he actually was a huge pig farmer with over 500 brood sows & employed 9 people. He also had a small herd of black angus, (about 30 or so). Being impressed with our cattle on our web-site, he asked if we'd consider selling him a bull for cross-breeding. This would be the first time we had ever sold a Pinzgauer bull for breeding angus. He obviously had a mind set to try it. As a result one day shortly after talking, he drove up by himself for almost 12 hrs. from Nebraska to our farm in Denmark, WI. After resting & conversation in our facility over night. he loaded up PPB Jonathon. The following 2 pictures are of Jonathon's herd & some of his off-spring. Jonathon's owner claims he's the envy of all the neighbors & just loves the way his calves grow & their personalities.

A few years ago the owners of Tri Korner Tails visited our farm. They soon became a customer & good friend. During their first visit, they were in question about cross-breeding a Pinzgauer with their existing Normande/Holstein crosses. At the time we were not knowledgeable of those results. After some research & several visits & cross table conversations they purchased PPB DeeFox. That also led to them purchasing additional Pinzgauers. PPB DeeFox is presently breeding their Pinzgauers & their crosses. To date they have had no calving issues.
In 2011 PPB Deesel was born. Dam: PPB DeeDee (our "Dee" line) Sire: Hawk Deesel carried an impressive body & personality plus. We were soon contacted by a breeder in the mid-western part of the state who was basically raising Beef-Master & other crosses. Deesel is presently breeding that particular herd, plus the owner liked the results so well he purchased one of Deesel's son's "PPB Octane" the following year & wanted to do some line-breeding.
"Jerome" Dam: Un-Known Hereford Sire: PPB J.T. dob: July 2015 (6 months of age)
